About BrailleNext

BrailleNext is an innovative solution aimed at revolutionizing the lives of visually impaired individuals by offering real-time, AI-powered assistance. Unlike traditional Braille, which is limited in scope and lacks real-world practicality, BrailleNext leverages cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision, artificial intelligence, and deep learning to provide an immersive and interactive experience.

While Braille was created over 200 years ago, less than 2% of books are written in it today. BrailleNext aims to bridge this gap, honoring Louis Braille's legacy by making written content more accessible.

People with visual challenges often struggle with daily tasks. BrailleNext assists them through:

BrailleNext is developed with the hope of improving the lives of visually challenged individuals using 21st-century technology. The goal is to create a more inclusive society through this not-for-profit, open-source, and free-to-use project.

BrailleNext is a device with a camera and a small computing box that can be worn as spectacles. It converts images into audible format for the user, allowing them to interact with their environment in new ways.
